Re-post from Indybay, where it has since been deleted. While certain elements may be overconfidently definitive, or simply unsubstantiated, we feel it warrants dissemination regardless. It is especially important within the context of a similar case in a different neighborhood nearby.

We personally began to see an SS tag start appearing in Berkeley and North Oakland at the beginning of the Ferguson rebellion in Nov.-Dec 2014. Since then, they have appeared consistently along Telegraph Avenue in various locations. The tag in question consists of an SS symbol with an upside down cross hanging above it. While this may have some association with the white metal scene, we consider it a fascist symbol and considers the taggers to be fascists as well.

For months we have been hearing about nazis creeping around Oakland and over enough time it became clear they were concentrating in one particular house. We have witnessed metal fans wearing Burzum and Death in June shirts in various parts of Oakland, and the acceptance of these small acts is tantamount to tolerating fascism. Burzum and Death in June are bands led by over fascists. We have no interest in listening to any justifications. Anyone who crosses the line into endorsing a fascist band by wearing their shirt or listening to their music will now be considered a fascist.

Recently, a fascist symbol was tagged on the walls of the Omni Commons in the Temescal district. Although the staff of the Omni was warned, they did not remove the fascist symbol. We have now removed all the nazi graffiti we could find in the area. We are releasing the location of the nazi house so that any interested parties can direct their concerns to the nazis in question.

The house in questions resides at {Redacted} Telegraph Avenue {Redacted}. The house is squatted and should be in the hands of those dispossessed by gentrification in North Oakland, not imported nazis.

We are unsure why nazis would be trying to creep into Oakland, but they will be easily stopped. This is the wrong place for them to make any moves.
